Privacy Policy

UCI considers our customers' privacy to be one of our highest priorities. We want you to trust us as a provider of goods and services and it is your right to know how we use the information which we collect from you during your shopping experiences at UCI. This policy applies to individuals and businesses operating in the United States. This privacy policy will help you understand the following:

What information do we collect from our customers?

Information You Give Us

When you interact with UCI via the web site, phone, email, support tickets, or support forums, we may store the information which you provide to our company.  This information may include:

  • your name
  • your billing and shipping address
  • your email address
  • your phone number
  • your credit card information
  • your personal and customized important date reminders

This information is stored securely in our network.  Your credit card information is encrypted (scrambled) with a 512 byte key to help make sure that the information does not fall into the wrong hands.

Automatic Information

To help make your experience here at UCI more pleasurable, our web site will use two separate techniques to automatically gather information from our customers.  These techniques include "cookies" and database tracking.

When you visit UCI or one of our affiliate sites, your web browser has the option to receive or block cookies from our web site.  A cookie is a simple text file which your web browser uses to temporarily store information such as your email address, username, and last few items searched.  This allows us to retrieve that information quickly without slowing down the web site to access the database.  The information gathered is only temporary and you can delete our cookie from your web browser whenever you wish.  We will never store credit card information in your cookie.  Other web sites cannot read our cookie just like we cannot read theirs.  The information stored in your Internet browser cookie is for our use only.  Most web browsers have a help function and you can type in the word "cookie" and see how to disable cookies for our web site if you wish to disable this portion of the web site.  We do encourage you to accept our cookie because it will be used to customize your UCI experience as an individual. Cookies also allow us to provide robust features such as our Swift Pay program which allows for a very streamlined and fast checkout and payment procedure.

How and with whom may we share your information?

UCI only discloses information to third parties when it is necessary for them to fulfill their job functions with our company.  These third parties may include Third Party Sellers, our fulfillment house, printers, mailing house, our web host provider and merchants.  These companies are not authorized to use this information for any other purpose other than as directed from UCI.

We may disclose your information to law enforcement officials to enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions and other Policies, property, safety and integrity of our web site, users and others who may visit our web site.

If some or all of our business is sold, we would generally transfer the relevant information to the new business and would retain a copy for our records.

How can you limit our sharing of information?

If you open up an account with UCI, a valid email address is required.  In fact, your account cannot be used until you verify your account with a security code.  The email address is required so that you can receive communications to and from UCI regarding orders and the fulfillment of the orders.  UCI will not send you any other email or other correspondence unless you authorize us to do so.

What is your policy on external links to other sites?

Our website contains advertising for products, services, and other programs on external web sites.  Other sites have their own policies for protecting your privacy and we encourage you to read their posted policies so that you are comfortable visiting the web sites.  We reserve the right to monitor outbound traffic so that we know how people exit our web site.  Our monitoring stops as soon as you leave our web site.

What technology do we use to help protect your information?

While we cannot get into specifics about data security here at UCI, our commitment to professionally securing and safeguarding your data is our highest priority.  We have physical, managerial, and electronic security measures in place to help protect your data and confidentiality.  We use a variety of encryption technology to scramble and decode credit card information.  We also use Secure Socket Layering (SSL) when we collect confidential information (such as billing information) from you.  SSL is the industry standard for secure online transactions.  Because of this technology, you may use your credit card in confidence here at the web site just as if you were swiping the card at the store.

How may you close your UCI account?

You may close your account by choosing the cancel option in your account settings here at UCI. Your access to the site will be immediately blocked and your information will remain in our database for a period of 90 days to handle any refunds, chargeback's, payments, monetary disbursements or any other purpose to settle a claim pending against your account.  If you are a seller and close your account, you may still receive the money in your account.  However, you give your consent that your credit card can be charged to remedy any disputes with customers for up to 60 days after you account is closed.

By using our website, you consent to our use of information that is collected or submitted as described in this online privacy policy. We may change or add to this privacy policy at our discretion and we encourage you to review our policies regularly. When changes are made to our privacy policy all registered customers will be notified via email.
